Ogre 1.6.4

New Ogre version! It is time for 1.6.4, with the usual load of bugfixes and still no Code::Blocks SDK. Seems that CB users will have to build their own Ogre.

Mocap lib

This post in BlenderNation has led me to a few motion capture libraries with hundreds of files. They are in several formats, specially bvh, which is Blender compatible. You will also find in the links a tutorial explaining how to use them.

Linux users buys more?

Torchlight, an example

I have been aware of this game since a long time ago, as it uses Ogre engine. But important media seems to have discovered it just now, mostly because it is much like diablo, and part of the development team actually worked in Diablo titles. Gamasutra has a couple of articles, here and here, that you should read.
Yes, an small team can make an RPG. A good one! By the way, Venetica was released a few days ago, another interesting title made with Ogre.

Also, i will soon announce a new, very promissing project, from a developer I admire a lot.
