According to The Linux Game Tome, Cyphesis 0.5.20 was released May 28. i have been checking the official Worldforge site and the forums, but nothing there yet. New in this version is data fully persistent, besides bug fixes and prfomance improvements.
Cyphesis is a small to medium scale MMORPG server with embedded AI. I have been looking at it, but it lacks documentation to easily start creating your own games.

Blender 2.49
The Blender guys, always attending users wishes, have been working to provide us a new version. This 2.49 was not in the plans, but the wait until 2.5, packed with lot of exciting features (including coffe making and dropping the garbage) was too long and they had to do something.
So, this one, even when it is not the big version we are expecting, brings new stuff.

Now, the past
Reading Slashdot I found another interesting article, which complementes the previous one about the gaming future: the history of videocards.Take the time machine to the age of Voodoo cards and first Quake versions, when even a 486 CPU was enough to play 90% of the games.

Beej's guide to network programming
Interesting guide that covers network programming. The bad side is that it is mostly oriented to Unix platforms, or you have to install Mingw.

My friends from the FreeViUX group have surprised me today: they have presented a game project made with Blender Game Engine and GIMP. My congratulations for them!
